Free verse, just as the name suggest does not follow a set pattern of line syllables. The poet is free to set his own rhythm and flow,as he is free in deciding where to rhyme or not.
I got from the internet an example of a free verse poem, with no rhymes as well:

Some kind of attraction that is neither
Animal, vegetable, nor mineral, a power not
Solar, fusion, or magnetic
And it is all in my head that
I could see into his
And find myself sitting there.
