This one has a few steps. First I would separate them each into a different equation and solve them like a regular inequality. But use the middle expression in each inequality equation.

18k - 6 < 34 - 2k

20k - 6 < 34

20k < 40

k < 2

34 - 2k < 10k + 46

34 < 12k + 46

-12 < 12k

-1 < k

Now we know that K has to be greater than -1 but smaller than 2. The answer would then be

-1 < k < 2
