First deal:

8 ounce bag → $1.68

4 ounce bag → $X

(1.68 × 4) ÷ 8 = $0.84

Second deal:

4 ounce bag → $0.88

8 ounce bag → $X

(0.88 × 8) ÷ 4 = $1.76

1.76 - 1.68 = $0.08

The best deal would be to buy the 8 once bag, because if you bought 2 4 ouce bags instead you would pay 8 cents more.

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

- The 8-ounce bag of sunflower seeds has a cost of $1.68.

- The 4-ounce bag of sunflower seeds has a cost of $0.88.

2. You must write the rates:

a) The 8-ounce bag of sunflower seeds:

(1.68)/(8)=0.21 dollars for 1 ounce.

b) The 4-ounce bag of sunflower seeds.
