How does the scatter plot of a nonlinear association differ from that of a linear association?

Scatter Plots of a non-linear association represent points scattered all over the graphs as there is no association with them. On the other hand, a linear association represents dots placed in a more straight line that covers most of the dots on a graph. To sum it up, a nonlinear association is a bunch of random dots all over the place and a linear association is straight with no mess-ups (nothing).
