What is the slope of the line passing through the points (2, 4) and (5, 6)?

slope =
(2)/(3)

calculate the slope m using the gradient formula

m = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = ( 2, 4 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (5, 6 )

m =
(6-4)/(5-2) =
(2)/(3)

2/3 is the slope of (2,4) and (5,6)
