The option that reads : South of Tokyo ( beyond Yokohama) is the historic city of Kamakura is correct. The information in parentheses is optional but adds some useful information to get a clearer picture of the location of the city of Kamakura.

To put historic in parentheses is wrong since it is important information.

To put beyond Yokohama is the......Kamakura is wrong. The structure of the sentence has been broken. South of Tokyo is the subject and a parentheses cannot cover up the rest of the sentence where the predicate lies.
