The Bakke case happened because Allan Bakke, a 38-year-old civil engineer wanted to be admitted to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of California, but they rejected his request three times because he was white, his investigations verified that Black people entered with lower scores and were admitted by the university. He also confirmed that 16 out of 100 places were allocated to racial minorities
When Bakke was rejected for the third time, he sued the university in the state courts of the United States
the case was called as "(affirmative action)"
The superior court of the United States gave the reason to Allan Bakke with a vote of 5 to 4 ordering the university to enter it, this happened in 1978
