In the given question only statement III is false.

The adenoids refer to the glands situated at the posterior of the nose, where the air pathways combine with the passageways in the back of the mouth. The majority of the infectious agents that one breathes in are filtered via the adenoids and are eliminated. The tonsils are situated in the upper throat. They are considered to possess a function in defending against the infections initially in life.
