If he starts at 1 and jumps 3 units to the right, then where is he on the number line? How far away from zero is he?

Answer:

4 and 4 away

Explanation:

If you start at one on the number line and go to the right you'll end up on 4 because if you start from one and then add 3 that equals 4.

Now if you were to figure out how FAR he is away from 0 you have to start at for and figure out what number you have to minus 4 by to get zero which is 4 because 4-4=0

Answer:

If you mean he starts at 1 on the Y axis (vertical line), then the answer is (1, 3). If you mean he starts at 1 on the X axis (horizontal line), then the answer is (0, 4)
