(1)/(3) >
(3)/(10)

To compare fractions we require them to have common denominators

the lowest common denominator of 3 and 10 is 30

multiply numerators and denominators by the same quantity

(1)/(3) ×
(10)/(10) =
(10)/(30)

and
(3)/(10) ×
(3)/(3) =
(9)/(30)

(10)/(30) >
(9)/(30)

thus
(1)/(3) >
(3)/(10)
