7(x + 2) = 7x - 10

You want to distribute the 7 to all the numbers inside the parenthesis:

7 * x + 7 * 2 = 7x - 10

7x + 14 = 7x - 10

Next you want to subtract 14 from both sides:

7x = 7x - 24

Finally, you want to subtract 7x from both sides:

0 = -24

No solution

Hope this Helps!!

7(x+2)=7x-10

First, distribute 7 to x and 2.

7x+14=7x-10

Subtract 7x from both sides.

14=-10

This means that there are no possible solutions to the equation, no matter what number you assign to the variable x.

In example, if I assigned the number 3 to be x;

7(3+2)=7(3)-10

21+14=21-10

35=11

No matter what x equals, the two sides of the equation will never be equal.

There is no solution to the equation.

I hope this helps :)
