Y = mx + b

Find m first

m = 22 - 13 / 5-2
m = 9/3
m = 3

find b

Y = 3x + b

Substitute for x and y coordinates

13 = 3(2) + b

13 = 6 + b

7 = b

Y = 3x + b

Hello : let

A(5,22) B(2,13)

the slope is : (YB - YA)/(XB -XA)

(13-22)/(2-5) = -9/-3

an equation is : y=ax+b a is a slope

y = 3x +b

the line through point A (5,22) :

22 = 3(5)+b

b = 7

the equation is : y =3x+7
