A senator is stopped for speeding on the way to session. Can he/she be arrested? Why or why not?

Yes, the senator can definitly be arrested because the principle, "Rule of Law," states that all people, including those who govern, are bound by the law." This means that even someone who governs, such as a senator must follow the law.

A senator that is stopped for speeding on the way to session can be arrested because: Senators are granted special immunity which refers to an exemption from being arrested only under two circumstances 1. While attending a session of the body to which they belong excluding an arrest for treason, breach of the peace or felony and 2. During a legislative session.
