First Find Slope

(3,5) (9,8)

( 8 - 5)/( 9 - 3) = ( 3)/(6) = (1)/(2) = slope \: \:

Put In Point-Slope Form: We Can Choose Any Of The Two Coordinates

y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)

y - 5 = (1)/(2) (x - 3)
Now We Need It In Slope Intercept Form
We Need To Put This In Respect To Y

Slope Intercept Form

y = mx + b
Respect To Y

y - 5 = (1)/(2) (x - 3) \: \\ y - 5 = (1)/(2) x - (3)/(2) \\ y = (1)/(2) x - (3)/(2) + 5 \\ y = (1)/(2)x + (7)/(2)

ANSWER

y = (1)/(2)x +(7)/(2) \:

OR

y = 0.5x + 3.5\:
