16x-2y=74

2x-2y=4

Multiply each equation by the value that makes the coefficients of y opposite.

(-1)(16x-2y)=(-1)(74)

2x-2y=4

________

-16x+2y=-74

2x-2y=4

________

-14x. -70

Divide -14 both sides

X= -70/-14

X= 5

Now substitute x answer into one original equation to find y.

2x-2y=4

2(5)-2y=4

10-2y= 4

Subtract 10 both sides

-2y= -10+4

-2y= -6

Now divide -2 both sides

Y= -6/-2

Y= 3

So (5,3) is your point answer
