I think the variable is 12 because we used this equation 3(-2+x)=30, then we multiply 3 by -2 and x, it will be -6+3x=30. We add -6 to both sides. 3x=36, then we divide by 3, and the answer is 12. (I am not sure if my answer is correct).

92

The equation we have so far would be: (x-2)÷3=30

plug 92 into x.

(92-2)÷3=30

92-2=90

90÷3=30
