Hi CavsChamps,

Solution:

(v − 7) (2v + 9)

= (v + −7) (2v + 9)

= (v) (2v) + (v) (9) + (−7) (2v) + (−7) (9)

= 2v^2 + 9v − 14v − 63

= 2v^2 − 5v − 63

Final Answer:

2v^2 − 5v − 63

(v-7)(2v+9)

Apply the Distributive Property:

v(2v +9) - 7(2v+9)

Apply the Distributive Property again:

v(2v) + v(9) + (-7(2v))-7(9)

simplify:

2v^2 +9v + (-14v) -63

Combine like terms:

2v^2 -5v -63
