it would be A. The plant would no longer be able to convert sunlight into sugar.

Just think about It makes sense. And I am very certain and know for sure that this is the correct answer.

Chloroplasts carry out photosynthesis.They use the energy of sunlight to make carbohydrates and other substances that the plant uses for preparing their food. So, if these chloroplasts are absent or destroyed then the plant will soon die.
