Question:

What is (-64)+((-36) + 20)?

Steps:

1. Leave the -64 in the equation till the end.

so, what you want to do is simplify ((-36) + 20)

which = -16

2. Then, put it back into the equation:

(-64) + (-16)

= - 80 is the answer!

*Make sure when you add a negative number by a negative number it stays a negative number.

Hope that helped!!!
