$260+$16x= $580

580- 260 = 320

320/16 = 20

20 hours

Answer:

20 hours.

Explanation:

Javier wants to take a vacation for which estimated cost is = $580

He has already saved money = $260

He makes per hour amount = $16

Let he will work to ensure the amount needed for vacations = x

Now the equation will be

16x + 260 + 580

16x = 580 - 260

16x = 320

x =
(320)/(16)

x = 20 hours

Javier needs to work for 20 hours.
