n, n + 2, n + 4, n + 6 - four consecutive odd integers

-72 - the sum

The equation:

n + (n + 2) + (n + 4) + (n + 6) = -72

n + n + 2 + n + 4 + n + 6 = -72

4n + 12 = -72 |subtract 12 from both sides

4n = -84 |divide both sides by 4

n = -21

n + 2 = -21 + 2 = -19

n + 4 = -21 + 4 = -17

n + 6 = -21 + 6 = -15

Answer: -21, -19, -17, -15.
