There is 2 ways to find the slope

(rise)/(run)
(y^(2) - y^(1) )/(x^(2) - x^(1) ) }

y^(2) = -5 ,

x^(2) = 2 ,

y^(1) = 1 ,

x^(1) = 4

(-5 - 1 )/(2 - 4) = (-6)/(-2) simplfy by dividing by -2 = (3)/(1)

Slope = rise / run

= (1 - -5) / (4-2)

= 6/2

= 3 answer
