a. Applying the vertically opposite principle,

(2x + 5) = (3x - 33)

2x + 5 = 3x - 33

33 + 5 = 3x - 2x

So that,

(4y - 1) + (3x - 33) =

But,

( 3x - 33) = (3x38 - 33)

= 114 - 33
