Alright, lets get started.

Laura's paper airplane flew =
9(1)/(6) = (55)/(6)

It is farther than Max's plane flew =
2(3)/(4)= (11)/(4)

So the equation for the distance for Max's paper plane flew will be =
(55)/(6) -(11)/(4)

Solving the above equation

(55)/(6) -(11)/(4)

These are two fractions in subtraction, so we need to make common denominator

(110)/(12)- (33)/(12)

(110-33)/(12)

(77)/(12)

6(5)/(12)

So, max's paper airplane flew =
6(5)/(12) feet : Answer

Hope it will help :)
