Why does the equation 3x+8=3x-5 have no solutions

The first person is probably correct

The equation has no solutions because when you subtract 3x from both sides, you are simply left with 8 = -5, which isn't true. In essence, there are no values of
x for which the equation is true. Thus, the equation has no solutions.
