Read these two summaries. Which is the more objective summary?

Olaudah Equiano seemed scared of the slave ship when he saw it. He passed out cold because he knew just by looking at his captors that he was never going to get home again. They were so different than he and the other enslaved people thought they must be really evil. The conditions aboard the ship were as bad as you could ever imagine. The smells were awful.

Olaudah Equiano wouldn’t eat, which caused him to be beaten by the men who enslaved him. Olaudah Equiano was terrified when he first saw the slave ship. His fear of the future was so horrible, he passed out cold. He knew by looking at his captors that he was never going to get home again. Because they looked so different than he and the other enslaved people looked, he knew what his future held. Even the conditions aboard the ship were horrible. The smells were awful and made Olaudah Equiano feel sick. When he refused to eat, he was beaten.

An objective summary is one that does not have personal opinions, and have fact-based information that is observable and measureable.

In the first one, it states "he and the other enslaved people thought they must be really evil.", which is an opinion.

hope this helps
