Answer:

  • The ratio of the larger octagon to the smaller octagon is 4:1

Solution:

Let's put them into ratio form from largest ⇒ smallest.

  • Largest:Smallest = (Perimeter of larger octagon):(Perimeter of smaller octagon)
  • => Perimeter of larger Octagon = 4 x 8 = 32 units
  • => Perimeter of smaller Octagon = 1 x 8 = 8 units
  • => (Perimeter of larger octagon):(Perimeter of smaller octagon) = 32:8
  • => 32/8 = 4/1 = 4:1

Hence, the ratio of the larger octagon to the smaller octagon is 4:1
