Given equation :
tan ^-1 ((8.5)/(7.7))=x

We know the formula,

tan \theta=(a)/(b) can be written as

\theta=tan^(-1)((a)/(b))

In the given problem angle theta is taken by x and fraction a/b is taken by 8.5/7.7.

In order to find the value of tan^-1(8.5/7.7), we need to put arc tan or tan^-1(8.5/7.7) in calculator.

By default, calculator would give angle in radians.

Also if you want answer in degrees, please do not forget to change the radian key(button) into degrees.

On putting tan^-1(8.5/7.7) in calculator, we get 0.834741.. radian approximately.

And in degrees it would be 47.827 degrees approximately.
