(x,y) = (3,7)

Since both equations express y in terms of x we can equate them.

4x - 5 =2/3x + 5 (subtract 2/3x from both sides )

10/3x - 5 = 5 (add 5 to both sides)

10/3x = 10

multiply both sides by 3/10

x = (3× 10)/10 = 3

substitute x = 3 in either of the 2 given equations to obtain y-coordinate

y = 4x - 5 ⇒ y=(4 × 3) - 5 = 12 - 5 = 7

point of intersection = (3,7)
