1. Find the slope m of the line that passes through points (0,-3) and (2,3) using formula:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1).

Then

m=(3-(-3))/(2-0)=(6)/(2)=3.

2. Write the equation, in point-slope form, of the line that is parallel to the given line (note that parallel lines have the same slopes) and passes through the point (−1, −1):

y-(-1)=m(x-(-1)),\\ \\y+1=3(x+1).

Answer: 3.
