Add m to both sides

18= 3m

Divide 3 on both sides

Final Answer: 6=m

Isolate the m. Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Add m to both sides

-m (+m) + 18 = 2m (+m)

3m = 18

Next, to isolate the m, divide 3 from both sides

3m/3 = 18/3

m = 18/3

m = 6

6 is your answer
