DNA is a homology because it contains genes from your ancestry and you. So, for example, my DNA contains genes from my family from over 600 years ago, and that makes it a homology. Hope this helps.

The definition of homology is the existence of shared ancestry between a pair of structures, or genes. DNA contains the genes of a person therefore making itself a homology.

I hope this helped you hon :)
