We need to distribute.

Multipy the parenthesis first:

9m - 6 = 6m + 6

Now we want variables on the same side so subtract 6m from both sides (we use this because it's the smallest of the two)

3m - 6 = 6 Now move the constant numbers to the same side by adding 6 to both sides (this eliminates the -6 on the left)

3m = 12 Now divide both sides by 3.

m = 4

Check your work.

3((3 x 4)-2)=2((3 x 4)+3)

3 (12-2)=2(12+3)

3 x 10 = 2 x 15

30 = 30

Yes - it checks!
