I love MPH problems.

56 miles per hour - so we need to figure the distance in one hour and another half hour.

56 + 56/2 will give us our total miles.

reduce the fraction - 56/2 = 28

add this to 56 ... 56 + 28

You get 84 miles is 1.5 hours.

Answer: 84 miles

Explanation:

Given : A person driving along the road moves at a rate of 56 miles per hour driven.

i.e Speed = 56 miles per hour

To find : Distance traveled by the person who drive in 1.5 hours.

Time = 1.5 hours

The formula we use here is :-

\text{Distance=Speed}*\text{Time }\\\\\Rightarrow\text{Distance}=56*1.5=84\text{ miles}

Hence, the person drives 84 miles in 1.5 hours.
