When i use " / " it's the divider.

Example:

1

2

But instead. I do it like:

1/2

So: 1 divided by 2

Or 1 over 2.

Anyways, let's get started.

[Subtract] 1.

6-8=a/10

[Simplify] 2.

-2=a/10

[Multiply both sides] 3.

−2×10=a

[Simplify] 4.

−20=a

[Switch sides] {Answer} 5.

a=−20

you take the 8 and move it to the other side and switch the signs
then you subtract 6 &8 which would equal to -2
then try to get A by its self, I did the triangle method
then solve
I got A=-20
the stuff to the right is me checking if its the correct answer.
