If the gravitational force exists between all objects in the universe, why aren’t people affected by the gravitational force exerted by cars and buildings?

Answer:

People are not affected by the gravitational force of cars and buildings because their masses are too small to exert a strong enough force for people to feel. The weak gravitational forces of cars and buildings are insignificant compared to the gravitational force of Earth.

gravitational force is given by formula

F = (Gm_1m_2)/(r^2)

here we know that

G = 6.67 * 10^(-11) Nm^2/kg^2

since the value of G is very small

so we can say that here when we take object of mass of order 100 kg mass then the gravitational force is very small we we do not experience its effect on us.

As the mass of universe is very large and more than the value of order 10^20 kg so the effect of gravitation force due to these planets are very large on us

and we can experience its significant effect

so if mass of the two objects is large in order then only we can experience the effect of gravitational force on us
