Assuming you meant 2x−4 divided by 5 =x+4, the answer would be x=-8

If you just meant 2x−45=x+4, it'd be x=49.

I hope this helps, have a nice day!

2x - 45 = x +4

Add 45 to each side:

2x = x + 49

Subtract 1x from each side:

x = 49
