What is -2x+4=5-3x? Solve for x please

-2x+4=5-3x

You're going to add the 3 to the other side (or you could add the 2 to the 3, etc.)

1x+4=5

Now you're going to subtract the 4 since you don't want it on the side of x

1x=1

Thus, x = 1

-2x + 4 = 5 - 3x Add 3x to both sides.

-2x + 3x + 4 = 5

x + 4 = 5 Subtract 4 from both sides

x = 5 - 4

x = 1 <<<< Answer
