Break it down first Ten x =10x The sum of = 10×(?+?) Half a number= 10×(x/2+?) And 9= 10×(x/2+9) Is 11= 10×(x/2+6)=11 Now since we have the equation we solve for x : 10×(x/2+9)=11 10×(x/2)=5x 10×9=90 So : 5x+90=11 5x=11-90 5x=-79 Divide both sides by 5 X=- 79/5 or you can you put - 15.8 .To check you substitute your answer for x and solve you should get 11=11 to make statement true I hope this helps
