General equation of a parabola is :-
y² = 4ax

Focus = (a,0)
Directrix= (x=-a)

Answer:

A hyperbola has two curves that are like infinite bows where these two curves are a mirror image of each other.

We can also get a hyperbola by slicing through a double cone. But the slice should be deeper than that of a parabola.

When we place the hyperbola on an x y graph, we get the equation:


(x^(2) )/(a^(2) ) -(y^(2) )/(b^(2) ) =1
