That's pretty bad typesetting, let's assume it reads


7 < \frac t 3+ 9

Subtracting 9 from both sides,


-2 < \frac t 3

Multiplying both sides by three doesn't flip the inequality because it's positive:


-6 < t

We can write this


t > -6

Answer: t > -6
