In scientific notation, what we do is we break up a number leaving only numbers that are more than 0, and multiply that value by a power of 10 to represent the 0's that where there before.
In this case, we got only 888 (numbers higher than 0) and transformed it to 8.88. After that we transformed all the 0's into a power of ten, which would be
(1,000,000).
