2x + 8y = 16

Let's solve for y.

2x + 8y = 16

Step 1: Add -2x to both sides.

2x + 8y + −2x = 16 + −2x

8y = −2x + 16

Step 2: Divide both sides by 8.

8y / 8 = -2x + 16 / 8

y = -1 / 4x + 2

Answer ==============> y = -1 / 4x + 2

Graph:

2x + 8y = 16

y = -1 / 4x + 2

Hope that helps!!!! : )
