4d-13+12-d+d+2=180

We move all terms to the left:

4d-13+12-d+d+2-(180)=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

4d-179=0

We move all terms containing d to the left, all other terms to the right

4d=179

d=179/4

d=44+3/4

Combine like terms

4d - d + d = 4d

-13 + 12 + 2 = 1

4d + 1 = 180

Isolate the d. Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Do the opposite of PEMDAS

4d + 1 (-1) = 180 (-1)

4d = 179

4d/4 = 179/4

d = 44.75

hope this helps
