  • But before that by inspection you can see that your equation is not in the standard form of a straight line
  • Make y the the subject of the equation

  • (-3x+1)/(2y)(2y) =18(2y)\\-3x+1=36y\\y=(-3x+1)/(36)
  • Now plug in y=0
  • 0=-3x+1
  • -3x=-1

  • x=(1)/(3)
