How is a lake different from the ocean? How is it the same?

They are both bodies of water but, one can have as little as 1 cubic kilometer of water while oceans have millions of cubic kilometers

An ocean and a lake are both large bodies of water; but a lake is enclosed on four sides and may contain life.
