So area of a trapezoid is
A=(b_1+b_2)/(2) *h , with b as our bases and h as our height. Since we have all those measurements, we can solve it as such:

A=(4.7+9.9)/(2) *5\\\\ A=(14.6)/(2) *5 \\\\ A=7.3 *5 \\\\ A=36.5\ mi^2

In short, your answer is 36.5 mi^2, or A.
