Given the formula a=b times c rewrite the formula to solve for c

a = b(c)

Because you are solving for c, isolate the variable. Note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other

Divide b from both sides

(a)/b = (b(c)/b

a/b = c

c = a/b is your answer
