f(a) - f(3) = -3
f(a) - 2 = -3
f(a) = -1
f(1) = -1 so a=1. answer c.

f(3) = 2 from the graph.

f(a) - f(3) = -3

f(a) - 2 = - 3

f(a) = - 3 + 2

f(a) = - 1

That means that the y value is -1

When the y value is -1 from the graph then the x value associated with it is 1.

The answer is C
