2x+6 is your answer sum is + 2times a number can be represented as 2x (x= a number), and the sum of 2 times a number and 6 is 2x +6.

The answer would be 8 or 12 depending if it is a multiplication problem or an addition problem hopefully this helped u with your home work or an assignment in general.
